Samantha Evett Sentenced For Dealing Controlled Substance
WARSAW — Samantha Deanne Evett, 201 E. Greenhaus Drive, Syracuse, was sentenced today for a level 5 felony of dealing a controlled substance.
Charges were filed Oct. 20, 2015 against Evett. According to court documents around May 13, 2015, Evett sold 20 Adderall pills, a total of 5.1 grams, to an individual who met with her in a vehicle outside Kosciusko Community Hospital. Evett also allegedly asked if the individual wished to purchase Xanax.
Evett is to serve two years on the Community Correction Home Detention Program. She will serve her final year on probation. During the three years Evett will be subjected to monthly drug testing.
During her sentencing, Evett spoke to the court and Judge Reed about her charges. “I’d like to apologize for this offense and all the mistakes I’ve made.”
Evett pled guilty and Judge Michael Reed accepted the plea agreement created between her attorney and the state.
