UPDATE: Ice Truck Flips On Sweltering Day
WARSAW — A truckload of ice brought no relief from the heat Friday, July 22, as crews responded to an accident at the intersection of North CR 300E and East CR 100N, Warsaw.
Brandon M. Antoine, 23, Oak Valley Road, Fort Wayne, was driving a 2002 International 4300 refrigerated delivery truck southbound on CR 300E when the passenger side wheels of his vehicle went off the right side of the road. This caused the truck to flip, breaking open and exposing the bags of ice Antoine had been delivering.
Antoine had a laceration to his head. Lutheran EMS treated him at the scene and released him.
Damage from the accident is estimated up to $25,000.
