WINONA LAKE – Under a glorious sky in both the morning and afternoon sessions, Grace College held its 19th annual Lancer Classic golf fundraiser at Stonehenge Golf Club on Monday.
Grace, on its home course, hosted over 100 golfers in what has become the preseason highlight for the athletic programs. Among the celebration included a silent auction that featured autographed items from several professional athletes including the Plumlee brothers, who grew up just steps from the Stonehenge golf course. A signed helmet by Andrew Luck and autographed items from Cubs legend Bill Buckner and current Cubs backstop Miguel Montero were among the lot.
On the course, winning the tournament was the team of Christian McCray, Rich Dick, Matt Dick and Steve Longbrake who carded a fantastic round of 54.
Contest winners were Anna Marshall, who had the longest drive; Doug Noll, who was closest to the pin; and Dong Hyun Lee, who had the longest putt.
