Valley XC: Vikings Active At Northfield Invite
WABASH – Tippecanoe Valley’s boys and girls cross teams from the high school and middle school all competed at Saturday’s Northfield Cross Country Invitational.
The varsity girls placed seventh among eight teams with 150 points, Oak Hill taking that championship with 22 points. The varsity boys were eighth among the eight teams with 212 points, Oak Hill again the champion with 34 points.
The middle school boys were sixth among the seven teams with 121 points, Oak Hill also taking that title with 57 points, narrowly beating Wabash’s 59 points. The middle school girls were third at 105 points among the seven teams, Maconaquah holding off Oak Hill for the title 36-38.
Top runners for the Valley high school teams were Jared Mikel (37, 21:24) and Haley Hoover (30, 25:16) and the Valley middle school teams were Nolan Cumberland (16, 13:14) and Maria Henderson (16, 14:37).
The Valley high school team next competes Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Manchester Invite.
