Warsaw Boys Soccer: Tigers 2nd At Carroll Tourney
FORT WAYNE – The Warsaw boys soccer team finished as runner-up in the Carroll Tournament Saturday.
The Tigers opened the day with a 1-0 win over Homestead. Pedro Monsivais tallied the lone score of the match, off a corner kick from Andrew Mevis.
Warsaw then dropped a 1-0 final to host Carroll in the finale of the tournament, which began on Thursday. The host Chargers scored in the 53rd minute to earn the championship.
Warsaw, now 2-3-3 on the season, will host Northern Lakes Conference foe Elkhart Memorial Tuesday night starting with the JV game at 5:30 p.m. The Tigers will then host Penn Thursday night in a makeup game from Aug. 27. That contest will be a varsity only match starting at 5:30 p.m.
