Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber Welcomes Tippy Creek Winery
LEESBURG — A fondness for good wines has developed into a new winery business for a rural Kosciusko County couple. Lori and Daniel Richcreek have opened Tippy Creek Winery at 5920 N. 200E, Leesburg. Recently the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the business recognizing its newest member.
Visit Tippy Creek Winery anytime from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Visitors to the winery should keep an eye out for the copper colored roof with three copulas sticking above the surrounding cornfields.
Tippy Creek Winery features 15 wines, which include dry reds, dry white, semi-sweet, sweet, cherry and apple hard ciders and three flavors of wine slushies, all with catchy names, like Wawasee Weekender and Dewart Dry Dock, related to the Kosciusko County’s lakes. The winery also provides wine tastings and wine flights for those wanting to experience multiple flavors in one setting.
