Mishler To Chair Senate Subcommittee On School Funding
INDIANA — State Sen. Ryan Mishler (R-Bremen) has been appointed by Senate President Pro Tem David Long (R-Fort Wayne) to serve as chair of the Senate Subcommittee on School Funding for the 120th General Assembly.
“I’m honored to once again chair the Senate Subcommittee on School Funding, and to work with my fellow legislators to support our local schools,” Mishler said. “I look forward to hearing input from educators, school officials, students and parents on how we can keep Indiana moving forward.”
Mishler will also serve as the ranking member of the Senate Committee on Health and Provider Services and the Senate Committee on Appropriations, and as a member of the Senate Committee on Tax and Fiscal Policy. In addition to these committee assignments, Mishler was re-appointed Majority Whip for the Senate Republican Caucus.

The 2017 legislative session ceremonially began Tuesday, Nov. 22, with Organization Day. Legislators will reconvene Jan. 3 and, by law, must conclude the 2017 session by April 29.
