NorthWood Swimming: New Prairie Defends Pool
NEW CARLISLE – New Prairie did its job Thursday night in its home pool, handling visiting NorthWood in boys and girls swim duals. The New Prairie boys were victorious 124-58 and the girls a little larger at 128-58.
NorthWood broke through in the individual medley with Jason McNeil winning at 2:18.51 and the diving duo of Caden Jenkins and Dylin Hochstetler going one-two with 153.80 and 151.85 points, respectively.
NorthWood would have six runner-up spots in the dual, but New Prairie’s depth over a short NorthWood squad was too much.
In the girls races, Kate Jarvis would pull a Panther double, taking the 50 free at 26.91 and the butterfly at 1:08.01. Megan Stankovich also claimed a 500 freestyle win with a 6:27.65.
The Lady Panthers would find runner-up times in the individual medley, diving and the 400 free relay.
NorthWood will close its Northern Lakes Conference dual schedule Saturday when it hosts Elkhart Memorial.
