WINONA LAKE – The Lakeland Christian Academy girls basketball team dropped a 38-34 final to Mishawaka Christian Athletic Club Thursday night.

MCAC led 14-4 after the opening quarter and 17-13 at halftime of the contest played at LCA.

Hope Fancil led the offense for the host Cougars with 14 point. Fancil also had four rebounds.

Jess Slone had nine points to go with 11 rebounds and Melissa Goss scored seven points and also had 11 rebounds for LCA. Brady Gross netted two points for the hosts.

Anna Reimink had a stat stuffer game for the Cougars. Reimink scored one point and had six rebounds, six assists and six steals.

LCA, now 8-9, hosts Victory Christian Friday night.
