Michael Pena, 21, Richmond, formerly of Syracuse, passed away Feb. 20, 2017 at his home.

He was born Sept. 13, 1995 in Goshen to Felix and Heather (Byrd) Pena. He was 2014 graduate of Wawasee High School where he excelled at soccer, wrestling, and track. Nothing was more important to him than his family and friends. He was also very open about his love for God and wanted to share that love with everyone.

He is survived by his parents: Felix and Heather Pena, Syracuse; one sister: Audrianna (Kris) Cunningham, Richmond; one brother: Christopher Pena, Syracuse; grandfather: Robert Byrd, Muncie; grandmothers: Martha (Ted) Trevino, Cromwell and Brenda Byrd, Claypool.

Services for Michael will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Calling will be two hours prior to the service from noon until 2.
