Leesburg Student Council Enriches Lives Of Others
LEESBURG — On Saturday, March 25, Leesburg Elementary Student Council members put their raking skills to the test at Camp Crosley.
They were challenged to serve and “be the good” in the world as they worked together to rake mulch. The camp needed the mulch in their adventure areas refreshed to create a safer environment for campers. The students happily obliged.
A little rain didn’t dissuade them and you could even overhear them belting out camp songs as they worked. The camp songs quickly turned to screams of delight as students were rewarded with a trip down the zip line and a pizza lunch.
Leesburg’s student council hopes to find more ways to enrich the lives of others in the community as the school year draws to a close.
