What a difference a day makes.
That was the case for the NorthWood softball team Wednesday evening.
The Panthers picked up a 10-4 win over Goshen in a Northern Lakes Conference contest at Shanklin Park.
The win came one day after the RedHawks blanked NorthWood 2-0. The Panthers had just one hit Tuesday in the loss to Goshen.
The duo of Grace Anglemyer and Hannah Stickley had big games for the winners. Anglemyer slugged a pair of home runs and drove in five runs. Stickler had a homer and three RBI for the Panthers.
The game was tied at 4-4 before NorthWood scored a run in the fifth inning and five more times in the sixth frame.
Goshen won the junior varsity game 19-1.
NorthWood (11-14) plays West Noble Monday night in the second game of the Class 3-A Lakeland Sectional. That contest follows the sectional opener between Wawasee and Lakeland at 5 p.m.
