Foreman Declares Intent To Seek Nomination For Sheriff
WARSAW — Jordan A. Foreman, Warsaw, has declared his intent to seek nomination to the office of sheriff of Kosciusko County.
“As a dedicated public servant and longtime resident of Kosciusko County, I have come to thoroughly appreciate the quality of life this community offers and the challenges it faces in meeting the needs of those who call this county home,” said Foreman.
As a volunteer EMT, Foreman began his public service tackling life-threatening circumstances experienced by those he encountered in the course of his duties. He proved himself an accomplished first responder as evidenced by attaining paramedic licensure, as well as critical care and national registry certification. Desiring to expand his expertise in community service, Foreman broadened his scope by pursuing a career in law enforcement. Quickly distinguishing himself as an exceedingly competent and adept patrolman, he was promoted to detective after only three years on the force. Foreman was selected to complete advanced certification as an expert in digital forensics, specializations in social media, mobile device, and computer-based investigations. As such, he was assigned to and successfully investigated some of the most intricate and complex cases his department encountered during his tenure.
Diligence, excellence, and compassion have been the hallmarks of Foreman’s exceptional 13 year record in EMS, the majority of which were served at former Multi-Township EMS. Five years as a Warsaw Police Department patrolman and detective cultivated Foreman’s proclivity for upholding the fundamentals of law and order with the utmost integrity.
As he sets his sights on continuing his service as Kosciusko County’s Sheriff, Foreman’s vision for this community is centered on executing his key strategies:
- Reducing rates of recidivism related to drug-abuse and mental-health concerns
- Expanding law enforcement competencies and enhancing expertise
- Improving advocacy for vulnerable youth
- Increasing public accountability and transparency
- Facilitating law enforcement interagency cooperation
- Protecting citizens’ constitutional rights
Foreman resigned his commission from the Warsaw Police Department in 2016, and currently serves as the manager of clinical operations for Lutheran EMS, overseeing the clinical education and patient care assurance of 110 EMTs and paramedics in Fulton and Kosciusko counties. He remains a reserve officer with Winona Lake Police Department, and a well-respected community leader in first response.
He previously served as liaison to the Department of Child Services’ Child Protective Team and is a Kosciusko County court appointed special advocate board member. His active support and membership of community organizations include the Fraternal Order of Police and the Warsaw Breakfast Optimists.
Foreman was raised in Winona Lake, graduating from Warsaw Community High School. Since 2002, he has actively served in worship ministries through his home church based in Atwood. He has also participated in and led medical teams and various Christian mission work in Haiti, Australia, Poland, Niger, and Cambodia. He resides with his wife and four young children in Warsaw.
