Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
9:20 a.m. Monday, June 26, South Kinsey Road, north of West CR 550S, Warsaw. Driver: Carrie A. Bradford, 46, Rozella Road, Warsaw. Bradford struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
2:32 p.m. Monday, June 26, South SR 15 and West CR 700S, Warsaw. Driver: Bradley A. Michaelsen, 42, Lakeland Drive, Warsaw. Michaelsen advised a raccoon ran into the path of his vehicle and he could not avoid the collision. Damage up to $2,500.
4:36 p.m. Monday, June 26, North CR 150W, south of Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Stacey L. Collings, 43, North Mishawaka Street, Akron, and Jake P. Rucoi, 38, Walnut Creek Blvd., Warsaw. Collings advised his brakes failed, resulting in him striking Rucoi’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
11:56 p.m. Monday, June 26, East Harper Road, east of East CR 700N, Leesburg. Driver: Zachary Meck, 28, West CR 700N, Leesburg. Driver advised he had been heading home and fell asleep at the wheel, resulting in his vehicle running off the road. It appeared that the driver went off the road on the right side of East CR 700N and struck a utility pole. Meck was transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Damages up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:39 p.m. Monday, June 26, Mariners Drive, Warsaw. Central Dispatch was advised of a property damage accident in the parking lot at the YMCA. A parked vehicle rolled down a hill, striking several other vehicles. All vehicles involved were parked and unoccupied at the time of the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
7:48 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, Lake City Highway and East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Stoney N. Hartle, 22, North Tucker Street, Mentone, and Nicole A. Miller, Deerfield Path, Warsaw. Hartle pulled into the path of Miller’s vehicle as he was making a turn. Damage up to $10,000.
