KCSD Is Investigating Reports Of A Man In White Van Approaching Residences
By First Sergeant Chad D. Hill, Communications Division/Public Information Office
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Kosciusko County officials are currently investigating the occurrences of a white van approaching residences in a suspicious manner.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Deputies responded to Leesburg on Friday, June 30, in regards to a suspicious activity incident. Officers were told of a white van, with what appeared to be an older male subject, stopped at a residence and talking to a small juvenile. The van was approached by the child’s parents, and immediate fled the area.
Sheriff Deputies also took calls over the past weekend in the southern portion of Kosciusko County of white van approaching residences, with the driver exiting the vehicle and knocking on the front door. Officers are unsure if the calls are correlated to each other due to limited information at this time, but have suggested that citizens, particularly parents, to be vigilant and cognitive with the various reported incidents.
Sheriff Goshert has stated that if you feel that vehicle is acting suspicious in nature, do not hesitate to contact your local law enforcement to report the information. A vehicle and individual description are important, but a license plate number will provide officers with substantial more intel to investigate.
