Ben Rice Replaces Paczkowski On Library Trustees Board
WARSAW — Going without introduction, Ben Rice, Warsaw, has replaced Rick Paczkowski on the board of library trustees.
The July 10 meeting was Rice’s first of a four-year term, with Paczkowski’s resignation effective as of June 30. Paczkowski had served for eight years and received recognition at the June 12 meeting.
The largest topic of discussion was the main elevator. After a needed repair it was discovered that the parts and electronics running the elevator cab are obsolete, meaning it is going to need replaced sooner rather than later.
“Seems fate is pushing us to replace the elevator sooner than we wanted to,” said board president Chris Merrill. Director Ann Zydek stated that of the part that needed replace there are only six or so left. Budget options are currently being looked in to.
