‘J.J.’ Shuey II
“J.J.” Shuey, II, 45, Rochester, passed away Friday, Aug. 4, 2017 in Fulton County on Indiana 17 near 200-N due to injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident.
On Jan. 13, 1972, in Plymouth, Jackie Jay “J.J.” Shuey was born. He was a treasured son of Jack J. and Jean S. Potthoff Shuey.
An avid fisherman, “J.J.” could be seen seated on the banks of Woodlawn’s pond with his trusty casting rod. He also fished in other undisclosed locations with great success. To relax at home “J.J.” enjoyed gaming on his computer or the challenges of competition on his Play Station 3.
Left to cherish “J.J.’s” memory are his mother: Jean Winstead of Rochester, two sisters: Heather Goad of Indianapolis, Tammy Schlosberg and husband Andrew of Rochester; a brother: Robert “Bobby” Shuey and companion John of Indianapolis and his special friend Dixie Lewis of Rochester.
Preceding Jackie in death is his father, Jack L. Shuey on March 19, 1992 a seven year old sister, Stacey Hayden in 1971.
A celebration of the life of Mr. Jackie “J.J.” Shuey II will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 7, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester. Friends may visit with the family from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6, and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Citizens Cemetery.
