Block Of LOVE 2017
WINONA LAKE — The Block of LOVE is an annual event that celebrates the community’s support of MudLOVE and raises money for Water for Good’s clean water initiatives in the Central African Republic. It features music artists, food trucks, activities and an interactive social good marketplace. Each year it attracts close to 1,500 people from the Winona Lake and the surrounding communities.
This year’s event will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 9 at the Winona Lake Village.
A community event for the community that helps provide clean water. Come experience live music, food trucks, kids game area and a social good marketplace! Celebrate MudLOVE’s 8th birthday as MudLove raises money for clean water projects in Central Africa.
Food will include Light Rail, Taco Jalisco and Goshen Brewing Company. There will be a kids zone, face painting, bouncy house, crafts and a KCV bike course for the kids. A marketplace will include booths from Belove, Loving Shepherd Ministries, Water for Good, Fellowship Missions and Spoonful of Imagination. Live music will be performed by Mike Mains and the Branches, DJ Chuck Fry, Belle Vernon
The goal of the event is to celebrate the community while at the same time raising money and awareness for the international water crisis. The fundraising goal is $5,000. This can be done by cash, card or check donations to Water for Good at the event or online.
