Warsaw Football: Frosh Win Opener
DUNLAP – A huge first half performance paved the way for a season-opening win for the Warsaw freshman football team Thursday night.
The Tigers bolted to a 24-0 halftime lead en route to clipping host Concord 40-24.
Mason Martz fired a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another score for the frosh Tigers.
Luke Adamiec had a huge night for Warsaw with a trio of touchdown receptions. Aaron Greene had a touchdown pass and Colton Wampler ran for one touchdown and also added four PATs.
The trio of Adamiec, Zeek Reed and Austin Slone each had an interception for the Tigers. Tyler Kindle forced a fumble that resulted in a touchdown. The duo of William Wells and Konnor Shepherd were also recognized for their strong play on defense.
Warsaw (1-0) plays at Columbia City Tuesday at 6 p.m.
