LCA Boys Soccer: Cougars Drop One At Victory Christian
VALPARAISO – LCA was unable to come up with a second half equalizer in a 2-1 boys soccer loss at Victory Christian Academy Friday night.
All of the scoring was done in the first half. Victory Christian potted the first goal, but LCA came right back off the foot of Parker Stewart, who knotted the game at one. Garrett McCoomb assisted on the Stewart goal. VCA was able to net its second goal in the waning moments of the first half.
Despite some golden chances in the second half, the Cougars could not find the tying goal, settling for its third loss of the season in four chances.
Remington Swanson was credited with four saves for the Cougars, now 1-3 on the season.
LCA took five shots on net in the contest to VCA’s six, but were outshot 14-8 overall.
LCA (1-3) will host Winamac next Tuesday.
