Local Nonprofit Collecting Donations For Hurricane Harvey Relief
WARSAW — World Compassion Network, a local disaster relief organization, is teaming up with local businesses and the community to provide help after the Hurricane Harvey destruction.
WCN has been in close communication with churches and authorities central to the Hurricane Harvey destruction. The organization has received specific supply requests to meet the the most urgent needs of the victims.
Volunteers will be collecting monetary donations and supplies in the Owen’s parking lot on Center Street from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1 and Saturday, Sept. 2. Donations can also be dropped off during business hours at Off The Line Bait and Tackle, located at 2224 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw.
The disaster relief supply list contains items such as nonperishable food, hygiene and personal care items and cleaning supplies. Currently, bottled water and clothing are not being accepted.
WCN will be deploying multiple loads of supplies to the Houston area over the next several weeks. Help this organization show love and compassion to our fellow Americans suffering through this disaster.
