Weekend Holiday Festivities In Downtown Warsaw
A Twinkle Parade filled with holiday lights is being held in downtown Warsaw this Saturday.
The event already has approximately 40 participants signed up which, according to Mark Dobson of the Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce, will include all kinds of vehicles all decorated with holiday lights and cheer.
Anyone can take part in the Twinkle Parade, but registration is required. Registration deadline is tomorrow.
Those taking part in the Twinkle Parade must line up at 5:30 p.m. in the downtown location of Owen’s grocery store and have their vehicles decorated for the Christmas season.
The parade will head east on Center Street at 6 p.m. and turn left on Indiana Street to proceed into Central Park, where it disbands.
Dobson said downtown merchants will have extended hours on Saturday evening to accommodate parade-goers.
Other holiday happenings this weekend include the Light Up The Night event at Central Park. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be the guests of honor – along with a few of their reindeer – as the annual lighting of the Christmas display takes place.
On Friday, the monthly First Friday event in downtown Warsaw happens from 5 p.m. to about 9 p.m. The theme for the event is Hometown Holly Days.
