Lutheran Health Network/KCH Donates To Cancer Care Fund
KOSCIUSKO — Kosciusko Community Hospital has pledged a total of $5,500 to the Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County. KCH has always been an outstanding partner with the CCF, recognizing the financial need of many cancer patients and families that have passed through their Cancer Care Center.
Kirk Ray, CEO of KCH said, “The CCF is congruent with our mission and cancer programs at Kosciusko Community Hospital. It’s important for the community to see that we are committed to cancer services and this is another way to get out awareness about cancer care and prevention of cancer.”
One hundred percent of all net funds raised through various fundraisers, corporate sponsors and individual donations, are used to financially assist cancer patients and their families in Kosciusko County. The K21 Health Foundation administers the fund at no cost, which means more funds go to the friends and neighbors that are in need of financial assistance. The CCF committees are all volunteer positions and donate their time to help this community cause.
Along with the direct pledge of $3,000, KCH is also the title sponsor of The Freaky 5K Family Fun Run/Walk on Oct. 28. This is the 3rd year that they have been the title sponsor. More information of The Freaky 5K will be announced, following the annual dinner dance and auction on Sept. 9 and the annual golf fundraiser at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club on Sept. 11.
