According to Warsaw Police, the Warsaw Narcotics Unit conducted proactive investigations Thursday evening. During this time, investigators observed what they suspected to be a narcotics transaction taking place in front of Shamrock Trailer Court, off of Anchorage Road, Warsaw. As a traffic stop was preparing to take place, one of the vehicles turned down a dead end road at a high rate of speed.
When the traffic stop was initiated, it was apparent the people in the vehicle switched seats. The three males, and the 19-month-old child were in the vehicle. The mother was not present. All three were detained and a Warsaw K-I officer made a positive indication to drugs on the vehicle.
A probable cause search resulted in locating approximately 12 grams of methamphetamine along with several grams of marijuana, synthetic marijuana, controlled scheduled IV pills and digital scales with residue. Additionally, a bag of narcotics paraphernalia was located next to the young child in the car seat. Investigators also located a loaded hand gun and taser.
Narcotics investigators were assisted by the Warsaw Police Patrol Division, Winona Lake Police, Indiana State Parole, Child Protective Services, and Kosciusko County Probation. Additional arrests are anticipated pending further investigation into this matter.
