Warsaw Volleyball Invite: Tigers, Vikings Make Strides
WARSAW – Both Tippecanoe Valley and host Warsaw earned multiple wins in Saturday’s loaded Warsaw Volleyball Invite.
Warsaw went 3-1 overall, beating Fort Wayne North Side 25-8, 25-6, Jimtown 25-15, 25-16 and Muncie Burris 25-18, 29-27. Fort Wayne Snider used a hot start to beat Warsaw 25-22 then 25-20 for the Tigers’ only loss.
Valley was 2-2 overall, beating Southwood 25-14, 25-21 and North Side 25-8, 25-15 while falling to Snider 25-16, 25-21 and Angola 25-9, 25-21.
Stat leaders for the Lady Tigers (18-10) included Alexie Day with 29 digs, 24 kills and a block, Kacy Bragg with 72 assists, 15 kills, 14 digs and four blocks, Kennedy Lauck with 16 kills and five blocks, Katie Swanson with 22 kills and Erin Peugh with 41 digs.
Stat leaders for the Lady Vikings (16-8) were not immediately provided. Olivia Trippiedi was tabbed as part of the All-Tournament Team.
The championship match saw Fort Wayne Dwenger beat Lake Central.
