Marquitta M. McLochlin
Marquitta M. McLochlin, 85, Rochester, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at Life Care Center of Rochester.
Marquitta was the adopted daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Darr. She moved to Linton when she married Roy Foster. He was killed in an auto accident leaving her with a son, Tommy Joe, three years old and Connie Sue, two years old. She later married Francis “Pat” McLochlin. Together they owned McLochlin Trucking Company. She had been a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and the Eagles Lodge.
She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Kiesling, Logansport; grandchildren, Kyle (Megan) McLochlin, Rochester, Jason Johnson, Michigan, Greg (Karie) Gentry, Rochester, Amy Foster, Rochester; great-grandchildren, Logan Gaines, Mason McLochlin, Madox McLochlin, Jacob Gentry, Gracelyn Gentry, Hunter Gentry, Delilah Johnson; niece, Pam (Mike) Dempsey; nephew, Dennis (Becky) Grogg; stepson, Ronnie (Sheryl) McLochlin, Logansport; special great-nephew, John Rose; and her special family and friends at Life Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents, Charles and Elizabeth Darr; mother and stepfather, Pauline and Johnny Easter; daugther, Connie Scharnhorst; sons, Francis Patrick McLochlin and Tommy Foster; and stepson, Donnie McLochlin.
Gravesides services will be announced at a later date. Interment will take place at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester.
