Area Police Reports
Elkhart
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following incident:
- 2:44 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 23000 block of US 6 East, Nappanee. Rodney Beer reported subjects took possession of a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche while it was parked at 23965 US 6. The incident took place sometime around Sept. 30.
Goshen
Officers with the Goshen Police Department investigated the following incidents:
- 2:50 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, Wilden Avenue and Tracy Lane. When officers activated emergency lights while conducting a traffic stop, the passenger in the vehicle immediately fled the scene on foot. The driver, Alex Homister, 19, 1304 N. Long Drive, Syracuse, was found to be in possession of marijuana. The passenger was not located. Homister was incarcerated at the Elkhart County Detention Facility.
- 6:21 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 200 block of North Ninth Street, Goshen. Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of North Ninth Street to speak with Lisa Peterson, Syracuse, in reference to a 6-year-old vandalizing her vehicle.
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following incidents:
- 1:11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 8300 block of South SR 19, Akron. Tippecanoe Valley Schools reported a student being under the influence.
- 12:49 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 8300 block of East Lakeview Drive, Syracuse. Ashley Maria Weber reported fraud.
- 11:23 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 100 block of EMS W23C Lane, North Webster. Report of an unwanted subject was made, and a battery report was taken.
- 9:19 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 200 block of North Fort Wayne Avenue, Warsaw. Noemi Ponce reported a wallet stolen from inside a vehicle.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following incidents:
- 12:32 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 100 block of West Section Street, Milford. Earleen Marie Fisher reported that someone had thrown broken glass in her driveway.
- 11:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 100 block of East South Street, Milford. Fonda Kate Richardson reported her vehicle had been vandalized and broken into.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following incident:
- 11:16 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 100 block of East Fourth Street, North Webster. A safe was found in a back yard.
