North Webster Man Charged In Drug Sales
Undercover controlled drug buys have resulted in the arrest of a North Webster man.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies assisted officers of the Drug Task Force Monday in executing a felony warrant for Lynn Allen Umber, 58.
Umber, of 41 EMS W14B Ln., North Webster, was taken into custody and preliminarily charged with two counts of class A felony dealing a Schedule III controlled substance, specifically oxycontin, within 1,000 feet of either a school, park or government housing.
According to a press release, DTF officers purchased oxycontin from Umber on two different occasions in both North Webster and Syracuse. The investigation had been on-going for a “substantial time” and officers had been working commutatively with the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office to apprehend Umber.
Umber’s bond has currently been set at $50,000.
The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force consist of officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department that work with other local and neighboring law enforcement agencies to combat the usage and sell of illegal and illicit drugs.
