WCHS Band Concludes Season With State Finals Appearance
WARSAW — The Warsaw Community High School Band program is set to cap off its most successful fall season in recent years with a trip to the Indiana State School Music Association Scholastic State Marching Band Finals this Saturday, Oct. 21.
So far, accolades for the 2017 Tiger’s Pride include being named first-ever Class Champion at the Penn Kingsmen Invitational; top three placement at the Plymouth Invitational; and caption awards for best music and best effect.
The Pride’s 2017 production is entitled “Rise! From Ashes to Glory” and is intended to musically depict the dawning of a new era. You can see the Tiger’s Pride rise to the top at Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis as they compete for the Scholastic A state title this Saturday. They perform at 5 p.m. and tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students.
