Indiana Cheer Championship Prelims To Feature NorthWood, Wawasee, Warsaw
GREENFIELD — The Warsaw, Wawasee and NorthWood cheer teams will all be among the field as the Indiana Association of School Principals hosts the 2017 Indiana Cheer Championship Varsity Prelims at Greenfield-Central High School on Saturday.
The competition will feature 63 varsity cheerleading teams from around the state. The top 60 percent will advance to the 2017 state finals to be held Nov. 4 at New Castle High School. Doors will open at 9:15 a.m., and competition is scheduled for 10 a.m. NorthWood and Wawasee — which will both compete in the Varsity C Division — are scheduled to compete at 12:03 p.m. and 12:21 p.m., respectively. Warsaw, which will compete in the Varsity Coed Division, is slated to compete at 3:45 p.m. The Varsity A and C Division awards ceremony will take place at 2:15 p.m., and the Varsity Coed, B and D Division awards ceremony is on tap for 8:45 p.m.
Cost to enter is $8 for children first grade and older, and tickets can be purchased at the door at Greenfield-Central, which is located at 810 North Broadway, Greenfield, IN 46140.
