Irish Still At No. 3 In Playoff Rankings
SOUTH BEND – Notre Dame remained at No. 3 in the latest edition of the College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday night.
The top four teams in the rankings, which were released for the first time last week, remained the same. Georgia, the lone team to defeat the Irish this season, is at No. 1 with Alabama at No. 2, Notre Dame at No. 3 and Clemson at No. 4.
The Irish, winners of seven straight games, sit at 8-1. Notre Dame plays at Miami Saturday night. The Canes, who are undefeated, moved up three spots to No. 7 in this week’s rankings.
Oklahoma is the first team on the outside looking in at No. 5. They will take on No. 6 TCU on Saturday. Miami is at No. 7, followed by undefeated Wisconsin, Washington and Auburn to round out the Top 10.
