Thank You For Supporting Your Library
By Ann M. Zydek, Library Director
The Warsaw Community Public Library’s celebration of 100 years of library service is ending. On behalf of the Library Board, I would like to express our warmest thanks for all those who helped make this year so special including Friends of the Library, staff, community members, and those who helped with programs including winter/summer reading programs and the library’s big celebrations–the 100th Birthday Party in April and the Library Block Party in August.
During this holiday season, consider helping the library prepare for the next 100 years! Maintaining our library is not possible with public funding alone. Secure the ongoing excellence of our library by considering a gift to build the Warsaw Community Public Library Endowment Fund at the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. If you would like to arrange a planned gift through a will, bequest or trust for the library’s endowment fund contact Kosciusko County Community Foundation at kcfoundation.org or call (574) 267-1901. Consider the library for IRA or insurance beneficiary designation.
Yearly the Community Foundation awards the library a grant representing the annual distribution from the Warsaw Community Public Library Endowment Fund. The library uses the endowment funds received to provide for the maintenance, repair and improvements to the real estate and improvements located at the Warsaw Community Public Library and to carry out its role and mission.
You make a difference with every gift of time, talent, or treasure you give to the library. Have you volunteered at the library? Volunteers help in many ways vital to the library’s operation. Consider joining the Friends of the Library, which supports the work of the library, both financially and through volunteer efforts. Friends of the Library hold book sales and share time, energy and ideas. Check out the Friends’ sponsored children’s Santa Day program and Mini Book Sale on Dec. 9.
The library accepts a variety of gifts directly and lists them in the library’s annual report and website list. At www.warsawlibrary.org under the “Support the Library” tab, explore the library’s wish list for ideas. Donate a book or brick for a loved one. Use your Owen’s Plus Card to donate to the library.
I gratefully thank you for your ongoing support of the Warsaw Community Public Library. You ensure that our community has access to life-long learning and entertainment resources for years to come.
