Winona Lake Park Department Celebrates With KringleFest
The Polar Express was offering rides to kids and their families.
WINONA LAKE — It may not feel quite like Christmas yet thanks to the unusually warm weather we have been experiencing, but that wasn’t stopping people from celebrating Christmas with the Winona Lake Park Department’s annual KringleFest today, Dec. 2, at the Senior Center at Winona Lake Limitless Park.
Rides on the Polar Express, a small petting zoo courtesy of Animal-Grams, North Manchester, crafts, cookies and pictures with Santa were all available for kids at the event. There was also $1 holiday shopping, where children could shop in secret with the help of elves who then helped the kids wrap gifts for loved ones.
After enjoying the event inside, many then enjoyed the warm weather and played in the park right next door.

- Kids waited in a lengthy line to speak to Santa and his elf, Jingles, to let them know what they wanted for Christmas.

- Kids were excited to see Santa and Jingles the elf during Winona Lake’s Christmas event this year.

- Elves helped kids pick out gifts for their loved ones, helping them wrap them up to keep them secret.

- Mini horses, small goats and other small animals were showing off their holiday cheer in the petting farm.
