The Chain-O-Lakes Chorus, a men’s barbershop chorus, will host a guest night from 7 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, at the Kosciusko County Annex Building, 202 W Main St, northwest of the county courthouse.

After two successful shows, the chorus is extending an invitation to men of all ages to attend a night of singing, refreshments and camaraderie. The chorus is looking for men who value the joy of singing. Experienced singers and new singers are invited to share this evening to learn more about barbershop music and the activities of the Chain-O-Lakes Chorus.

Music, laughter and friendship are just a few of the things you will experience with the men of the Chain-O-Lakes Chorus. You will have a chance to sing along with the guys and learn one of our traditional barbershop songs under the leadership of assistant director Dick Sutton and the Chain Gang Quartet.

Any man regardless of age, who likes to sing, this is your chance to experience the joy of four-part harmony in barbershop style and to learn more about how your involvement in this wonderful hobby can bring not only personal satisfaction, but also listening pleasure to hundreds of audience members. This opportunity is especially for you.

The Chain-O-Lakes Chorus is one of more than 800 Barbershop Harmony Society men’s choruses throughout North America that meet regularly to practice, socialize, perform and sing a cappella harmony in barbershop style. Their repertoire includes special arrangements of today’s ballads and upbeat songs, popular show tunes, inspirational hymns, patriotic songs and, of course, old-time barbershop favorites. Singing the satisfying sounds of barbershop harmony provides a rich, rewarding experience.

The chorus performs throughout the Lakes Area of Northeast Indiana, for festivals, churches, parks, fairs, and organizations. The Chorus also performs at senior citizen centers and other entertainment venues.
