Dorothy Eloise Brake — UPDATED
Dorothy Eloise Brake, 93, Silver Lake, passed away at 10:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 at her residence. She was born May 6, 1924 in Huntington to William F. and Alberta T. (Reynolds) Jones.
She grew up in Huntington, graduated in 1941 from Huntington High School, and lived a short time in Columbia City before moving to Silver Lake in 1957. She was married to Edward H. “Ed” Kneller who preceded her in 1993. She retired from General Electric in Fort Wayne after 18 years and was formerly employed at Playtime in Warsaw and Steer Inn in Silver Lake.
She was a member of the Eberhard Lutheran Church in Columbia City. She was an avid bowler, loved to paint, and play the organ.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Tim) Johnson, Pierceton; two sons: Marc (Teresa) Kneller, Silver Lake; David (Jane) Kneller, Silver Lake; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Judy (Rich) Nekola, Crown Point; Phyllis Fisher, Huntington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Gary Kneller, sister, Patricia Whitted, and brother, William Jones.
There will be no services or visitation and cremation will take place. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw is in charge of arrangements. Burial will take place at a later date.
