WARSAW – After a very tough loss over the weekend, Warsaw’s girls basketball team responded in a positive way Wednesday night.

Maddie Ryman dropped in a team-high 14 points and led three Tigers in double figures as Warsaw rolled to a 57-35 victory over Elkhart Memorial.

Ryman hit four three-pointers and added six rebounds and two assists. Kacy Bragg and Emma Bohnenkamper each finished with 13 points, Bohnenkamper chipping in six rebounds in her cause. Kaylee Patton added nine assists and eight rebounds for the Lady Tigers, which led by just 11 points heading into the fourth quarter but finished the game on an 18-7 run.Warsaw

Sierra Peete led all scorers with 16 points for the Chargers, and Cydney Lapczynski ended with 10 points.

Warsaw cruised to a 48-16 JV victory in the night’s first contest. Kensie Ryman led the Tigers in scoring with 10 points, and was followed by Kaia Hummitch with eight points, Ashlynn Hepler had seven points and Brooklyn Fitzgerald chipped in seven points and eight rebounds.

Warsaw, which lost its first Northern Lakes Conference game by 16 points Saturday night to currently unbeaten Northridge, moves to 12-6 overall and 3-1 in the NLC. Memorial settles at 9-7 overall and 1-2 in conference. Northridge and NorthWood both sit atop the conference at 4-0 and meet one another Saturday night in Middlebury.
