WCHS, WACC Highlight New Course Offerings
WARSAW — Students are Warsaw Community High School are currently able to begin registering for classes for the 2018-2019 school year. With registration now open for current high school students, WCHS and Warsaw Area Career Center would like to highlight new, exciting course offerings for the 2018-2019 school year.
WCHS and WACC offer a diverse curriculum with many opportunities for AP and dual credit courses in conjunction with neighboring colleges and universities. Warsaw is one of nine districts in Indiana to make College Board’s AP district honor roll. Currently, WCS offers 17 AP courses in English, mathematics, science, social studies, computer programming and world languages.
In addition, honors classes are offered each year in the English, mathematics, science, world language, social studies, technology and art departments. There are currently 41 honors courses offered. Dual credit offerings include 56 courses at this time with more being added. Seventy-five percent of graduating seniors earned AP or dual credits. Over 60 percent of our graduating class takes the SAT and/or ACT exam each year.
A few of the new course offerings for the 2018-2019 school year include AP statistics, ethnic studies, Indiana studies, AP French language and culture, automotive services and technology, video game design 101, outdoor education, philosophy of coaching, dance performance III, color guard, fashion and textile careers I, sports nutrition, fire rescue and applied music instrumental.
