Greeting Card Making Featured At North Webster Public Library
NORTH WEBSTER — Crafters can learn how to make greeting cards at a Craft-A-Card Workshop at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 15, in the North Webster Community Public Library. Wrenay Kann, who has taught mixed media art for more than 20 years, will help participants create two intricately detailed birthday cards. The cost of the workshop is $10 and includes two card-making kits. Pre-registration is required to participate with the non-refundable payment due when registering at the circulation desk.
A free movie will be shown at the library at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 12. The movie will be a 1949 musical featuring sailors on shore leave in New York City. Participants should bring their own snacks.
The 10-week winter session of Preschool Story Time is underway for ages 3 to 6. Every Wednesday morning through April 11, youngsters have fun listening to stories, making crafts and engaging in fun activities. Parents have a choice of two time periods at 10:30 or 11:30 a.m.
The library accepts book donations from patrons seeking to honor a loved one. The library staff will help select and purchase appropriate books to honor the loved one. Each book will have a bookplate placed in the front dedicating it in memory or honor of the special person.
