North Webster Man Arrested For Domestic Battery With A Child Present
KOSCIUSKO—A North Webster man was arrested for domestic battery against a female while a child was present.
Jordan Dale Nieman, 21, 206 E. Washington Street, North Webster, is being charged with domestic battery with a child under sixteen present, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor.
On Jan. 26, police responded to a call about a welfare check on a female subject. While an officer was in route to the location, she saw the subject holding a baby and walking towards the police department.
The officer approached the subject and noticed blood on the left side of her face.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the subject told the officer that she was having a discussion with Nieman. Nieman became angry, grabbing the subject by her hair and dragging her around the house while she was holding her child.
He then pushed the subject against a crib and screamed at the baby, saying, “So your s*** mother thinks I’m a bad daddy, we will f****** see about that!”
During the incident, Nieman threw a container of medical supplies, hitting the subject and the baby’s head. Nieman also ripped a door off a cabinet and threw it.
The subject said that the blood on her face was from Nieman’s injured hand, as he punched a hole in a television.
Nieman was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 14, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
