For those who appreciate the literary arts, come to Voyager Book Club at 10 a.m. Monday, March 26. The group will be discussing books written by Irish authors. This is a different type of book club in which everyone reads a book of their choice within each month’s assigned genre; then shares what they have read with the group. Next month, the focus will be books by first time authors.
Celebrate the culinary arts at Revolving Recipe Round-Up 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 27. Meeting monthly on the fourth Tuesday, this group of foodies focuses on different kinds of food each month. At Tuesday’s gathering, everyone is asked to prepare a dish with the color green in it and bring it to share and sample. Bring along the recipe to trade with others, too. The library provides the table service and coffee. Next month, the focus will be dishes that include eggs as an ingredient.
For the kids, the Youth Department will be showing a 2016 animated comedy about a spiky little mammal that pairs up with a pigeon for an adventurous journey. This Dove-approved family-friendly movie is rated PG and runs 93 minutes. So bring the kids for a free movie night complete with free popcorn.
