Call For Patriotic Art To Accompany Vietnam Wall Replica
WARSAW — The Warsaw Public Arts Commission has issued a call for patriotic art to be shown in “The Alley.” This exhibit is in conjunction with the public display of a replica of the Vietnam Wall and will run from May 31 through June 30.
Entries must be entrants’ original art work and of a patriotic theme. Digital images of art should be no less than 600 dpi. Final determination of what constitutes eligible work or inappropriate subject matter will rest with the panel of judges. It is the artists’ responsibility to obtain a signed release from recognizable subjects and present it upon request.
Vertical images of art preferred.
To safeguard original art work, giclée prints will be made from the submitted images of art (16×20 vertical, 8×16 horizontal) for display in outdoor cases. Labels will be created and displayed with the work so potential buyers can contact the artist to purchase the original art.
There are no cash prizes or awards so no entry fees will be required to enter your art
The Warsaw Public Arts Commission will not be responsible for the sale of art. The artist must submit the title of the art piece, the price and contact information. A label will be created and displayed with the art so customers can purchase the original art work from the artist.
Digital images of art work must be e-mailed to [email protected] and received no later than April 27. Notification of rejected work will be made via e-mail one week after judges’ decisions are made.
