Triton Rallies To Clip Falcons
BOURBON – A fourth-quarter rally netted the Triton girls basketball team a key conference win over John Glenn Friday night.
The host Trojans outscored the Falcons 20-10 in the final period to post a 47-40 victory in a big Northern State Conference contest.
Glenn, which entered the game at 11-1 with 11 straight wins, led 30-27 after the third quarter.
Senior Shana Anderson led the way for the host Trojans with a game-high 18 points. Triton improves to 9-4 overall and 3-0 in NSC action by snapping a short, two-game losing skid which came with setbacks to Warsaw and Oregon-Davis.
Kylie Mason netted 12 points and Taylor Hatfield added 10 for coach Adam Heckaman’s squad.
Loren Vukovits led Glenn with 11 points. Katie Dreessen had nine for the Falcons, whose only other loss was to Argos in their season opener. Glenn drops to 11-2 overall and 3-1 in league play.
Triton plays at New Prairie in another NSC contest and Glenn travels to Oregon-Davis both on Tuesday night.
