Fort Wayne Man Arrested For Armed Robbery
KOSCIUSKO — A Fort Wayne man was arrested after committing an armed robbery in December 2017.
Cedric O. Gamble, Jr., 30, 2716 Gay St., Fort Wayne, is being charged with robbery causing serious bodily injury, a level 2 felony; robbery with a deadly weapon, a level 3 felony; and theft, a level 6 felony.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Dec. 10, 2017, officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery that occurred at the Time Out Inn.
A male subject stated that he was at the Time Out Inn and had $3,000 on his person. He went out to the parking lot to put a purse in a vehicle when several males followed him outside.
Gamble approached the male subject and asked for a cigarette lighter. The male gave Gamble the lighter and put the purse inside the vehicle.
As he went back to obtain his lighter, Gamble pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and placed it against the male’s right temple.
The victim began to fight to get away when he was punched in the head. The males then stole the subject’s cellular phone and the $3,000.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the male subject sustained injuries to his face. He had a laceration and swelling on the right side of his cheek bone area and blood was dripping down the right side of his face.
Gamble was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on April 20, with a $25,250 surety and cash bond.
