AKRON- The NorthWood girls basketball team continued on its recent roll Tuesday night at the expense of Tippecanoe Valley.

Savannah Bley poured in 23 points as the Class 3-A No. 5 Panthers prevailed 70-51 in non-conference action versus the host Vikings.

NorthWood led just 15-8 after the first quarter before outscoring Valley 18-4 in the second period of play to lead 33-12 at halftime.

Morgan Olson scored 19 points for NorthWood, which improved to 13-3 with its eighth straight win. Jordyn Frantz had 12 points and Taylor Fielstra eight for the Panthers.

Cara Hoffman and Courtney Newsome each scored 15 points to lead the Vikings.  Valley drops to 5-9 on the season.

NorthWood won the junior varsity contest by a 50-20 final.

NorthWood hosts Northridge and Valley hosts Rochester in conference games Saturday night.
