Girls Track
Wawasee head coach Doug Slabaugh looked at Tuesday’s final dual meet of the season as a positive heading into the postseason.
“Lots of good stuff tonight,” began Slabaugh, whose team fell 81-51 to Elkhart Memorial and 91-41 to Northridge to wrap up an 0-7 NLC dual season. “Awesome 1-2 in the 800 and the long jump. Jada (Parzygnot) stepped in for first time ever tonight and gets second in long jump. Awesome 4×400 with a 14-second season best. It was awesome. Now it’s go time for NLCs and sectionals.”
The long jump saw Hannah-Marie Lamle win the event at 16-11.50 with Parzygnot recording a 15-02.50 runner-up. Parzygnot would stay on the west side of the track and win pole vault at 9-6 while Sara Pritchard claimed the top discus throw of 107-00.50.
The 800 run had Bailey Mayhew win for the first time at 2:31.86 and Kenzie Smith right behind at 2:33.00.

Memorial was paced by Morgan Dyer, who won the mile at 5:45.63 and the two-mile at 12:06.59.
