Bell Memorial Public Library Announces Upcoming Programs
MENTONE — The Bell Memorial Public Library in Mentone will host the following programs in May:
Beginning on Sunday, May 27, Bell Memorial Public Library will be closed on Sundays for the summer. The library will also be closed on Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day.
Join us for Story Hour at 3 p.m. every Wednesday and at 10 a.m. every Friday. Children listen to a story, sing songs and make a craft.
The Bell Memorial Public Library 2018 Summer Reading Program begins Monday, June 4. It is open to all age groups, and sign-up began Monday, May 21. This year’s theme is “Libraries Rock.” The program runs from June 4 to July 13. You must have a library card to participate.
We have a number of Book Buddies Kits available for check-out. These kits contain storybooks as well as manipulatives. These are a great way to get the kids involved and interested in reading.
New books coming to Bell Library include: “Better Off Read” by Nora Page; “The Hellfire Club” by Jake Tapper; “101 Objects To See In The Night Sky” by Robin Scagel; 175 Best Instant Pot Recipes” by Marilyn Haugen; “175 Best Malfunction Electric Pressure Cooker Recipes” by Marilyn Haugen; and “Clueless In The Kitchen” by Evalyn Raab.
New e-books added to Axis 360 include: “The Abbot’s Tail” by Conn Iggulden; “Boying Up” by Mayim Bialik; “The Crooked Staircase” by Dean R. Koontz; “The Handmaid’s Tale” by Margaret Eleanor Atwood; “Note To Self” by Gayle King; and “Unmasked By The Marquees” by Cat Sebastian.
