WCPL Announces Maintenance Day Closures
The Warsaw Community Public Library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day as well as Tuesday, Jan. 22, to accommodate new carpet installation on the upper level.
In addition, there will be early closings on Wednesday, Jan. 23, and Thursday, Jan. 24, closing at 6 p.m. instead of 8 p.m.
Worn out and torn carpeting will be replaced with new carpet squares making for easier and less costly replacement in the event of future damage. As part of the installation process, the Indiana Room will be closed to the public until further notice as furnishings and computer equipment are temporarily relocated to the room.
Latex glue will be used in the installation, and those with allergies or sensitivities are encouraged to postpone visiting the library until the following week.
“This is a long overdue project. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This time frame will allow for the work to be completed before Summer Reading begins,” said WCPL Director Ann Zydek.
