Warsaw Woman Arrested After Drug Overdose
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested after officers responded to a drug overdose.
Bethany Dixon, 443 N. Lincoln Park, Warsaw, is being charged with possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony.
On June 11, officers responded to a drug overdose. Upon arrival, a relative of Dixon’s stated that she was a recovering heroin addict. Dixon was found passed out in a bathroom.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, officers located two hypodermic needles, a metal spoon, a piece of cotton and a pink pouch that contained a lighter in the bathroom.
Dixon told officers that she hadn’t used heroin for two weeks. While cleaning out her purse, she discovered some heroin and injected it.
Dixon has already been arrested and was released on her own recognizance. She has an initial hearing date set at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, in Kosciusko Circuit Court.
