UPDATE — Vehicle Hits Trailer, Three Transported To Hospital
WARSAW — A man, woman and child were transported to Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne after their vehicle struck a trailer.
At approximately 4:09 p.m. Thursday, June 28, officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle that struck a residence in Forest Park Mobile Home Community at 3390 Old Colony Road, Warsaw.
The crash involved a 1999 Toyota Camry, which was operated by Jessica M. Carlson, 24, Warsaw. Carlson was traveling east on Old Colony Road when she lost consciousness. She lost control of the vehicle, which caused it to leave the roadway and strike a mobile home, owned by Annette J. Slabaugh, Warsaw.
The vehicle was trapped under the residence, and Red Cross was called to the scene to assist with lodging for the family and pets in the mobile home.
Carlson and passenger Raevonn Williams, 22, Warsaw, sustained minor injuries to their elbows and lower arms. Passenger Chloe Carlson, 2, sustained lacerations to her head.
Warsaw Police Department, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Warsaw Fire and Lutheran EMS Kosciusko assisted at the scene.
Damages are estimated at up to $50,000.
