Warsaw Man Arrested For Battery Causing Serious Bodily Injury
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested for beating a male subject, whose serious injuries required him to be transported to a Fort Wayne hospital.
Aunthony Dornay Henley, 23, 3208 Heron Blvd., Warsaw, is being charged with battery causing serious bodily injury, a level 5 felony; and battery causing moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony.
On July 8, an officer responded to a report of a fight at a Warsaw business. When the officer arrived, he spoke with a male subject who had lacerations on his head and was falling in and out of consciousness.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, EMS units advised the male would be transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne due to the extent of his injuries.
Two female witnesses said they saw the male and Henley arguing. As the male walked away, Henley struck him on the head.
Henley told officers that while he was arguing with the male, he became angry and hit him multiple times.
Henley has already been arrested and released on a $10,250 surety and cash bond. He has an initial hearing date at 1 p.m. Friday, July 27, in Kosciusko Superior Two Court.
